Who designed Great Circle Systems' yacht management software?

Posted by Scott Strand on Nov 19, 2013 1:48:00 PM

Scott_Strand_great_circle_systemsI am Captain Scott Strand, creator of Triton Administrator vessel management software. Before and during the process of writing Triton, I spent twelve years working on yachts full time. I worked myself up from deck hand to captain and was lucky enough to work with several fine captains and engineers.

That experience gave me perspective on how yachts should be run. Over the years, I crewed and captained many high profile yachts and completed multiple circumnavigations, trans-oceanic crossings, and canal transits.

I have been working with Great Circle Systems since 2006 when they did the installation of all our networking and Internet communications equipment on our boat being built in Germany.

The equipment they recommended and installed was exactly as we required.  We have had extremely good results with all of their equipment and it has performed as they had advised.

I would highly recommend them to all fellow captains.
